Caillou Cupcakes

Last month I was asked to make some Caillou cupcakes for a little man's birthday. Now I have to admit that I strongly dislike the cartoon itself because Caillou just whines way too much and I don't think I'd like my future children or any child I took care of to actually watch the show and learn that kind of behavior. However, in fondant form I fell in love with the characters!
Look how cute they are! Believe it or not Caillou himself was the hardest for me to recreate. Why? Because he has no hair! I do think that these fondant cupcake people toppers are turning into my specialty.
Since they were going to a birthday party I couldn't let them go empty handed. Daddy brought a gift!

Rexy dressed for the ocassion. I think he is my favorite!
 Mommy brought some cake.
 Teddy brought a gift.
Gilbert also dressed up in a birthday hat...now Gilbert is a very close second for my favorite behind Rexy.
And it wouldn't be a party without some of Caillou's friends!

I am loving making these fondant figurines...I wonder who the next subjects will be!
